Hi everyone,
Revision is killing me so I am distracting myself by writing a blog post. I was nominated to do another award by the lovely Gracie Chick (thanks so much!) and it turns out it was the sunshine blogger award. I did this one a while ago, but I’m really excited to do it again!
Rules: -Thank the person/persons that nominated you and link back to their blog –Answer the 11 questions your nominator has given you. –Nominate 11 other people and give them 11 new questions to answer. – –List the rules and display the award.
What words do you live your life by?
“Everything happens for a reason”. It is hard sometimes to understand why bad things happens to us, or why certain things don’t always go our way, but this is just how I try to justify it.
What do the words ‘A Light In The Darkness’ mean to you? (How do you interpret them?)
For me, it symbolizes hope and something positive coming out of something so negative. Like Trump, who has actually brought Americans (the non-racist normal ones) closer together.
What do you want more than anything else in the world?
I want to be able to inspire people and I want to be happy. I’m not going to get anywhere in life unless I am mentally healthy.
Who do you aspire to be like?
My mother. Despite going through crappy stuff, my mother is a very strong and compassionate person, and I hope that one day I will be like her.
What is the story behind your blog name?
My family nickname is Minty, and my sisters used to make the joke Minty Fresh (like a toothpaste). A freshie… I’m not sure how to describe a freshie…. Anyway, I thought it would be funny to combine them.
What book left you speechless?
I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that’s left me speechless, but a book that I loved was Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
Describe one memory that you would never want to lose?
When I was on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition and one of my friends dropped our ONLY COPY of the map in a massive pile of poo. TMI, but I literally peed myself laughing.
What song could you sing for eternity?
Well, I can’t sing. And even if I could, I would just get sick of the song. But, if i hd to choose I would pick’One Time’ by Justin Bieber- it has a special place in my heart.
Which blogger in the blogosphere can you relate to the most?
The Pakistanis Girl Guide. Maybe that’s just because I’m a (British) Pakistani girl.
What in life challenges you the most?
Work/exams I guess. They are so challenging in terms of revising but its so nice at the end, when you can genuinely say that you worked 100% for them. But I don’t think I’ve ever done that lol.
Thanks for the amazing questions Gracie Chick! My questions are:
- If you could become fluent overnight in any language, which would it be and why?
- What is your funniest memory, and why?
- What is your all time favourite TV show?
- Do you have a hidden talent? (or just a cool talent)
- If you could go shopping with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
- Do you have a pet peeve?
- Day person or night person? (ie. have fun during the day or party all night?)
- Country you would love to visit?
- What is your favourite sport?
- Do you prefer cities or the countryside?
- What made you decide to create a blog?
For this award, I am nominating: Cheila, Alyssa, Lindsay Rose, Her Vs. World, Plain Debbie, The Pakistani Girls Guide, Outnabout, Thoughts in Life, Inny97 and Brush and Needle-Obviously, you do not have to do this tag if you don’t want to, but if you do I look forward to reading your answers!
Stay fresh,
Minty xo

Haha I haven’t reached that stage yet- I like the anonymity of my blog. Also, I didn’t technically pee myself, but I was pretty close to doing it

The important thing is that you laugh so hard you almost peed yourself. Those are the good moments in life
