Hi everyone,

I’m baaaaaaaaaaack! woop woop. My exams are nearly over (one one left!) so now that I am slowly getting back all this free time I really wanted to restart making posts. It was so nice not having to wake up early to revise this morning. I haven’t blogged in about 3 weeks, and it’s been really strange. I’ve tried to keep up with reading everybody else’s posts, but it’s been weird not releasing any of my own. Anyway, this is just an update on my life right now!

Firstly, Ramadan is here. For those of you who don’t know, Ramadan is when Muslims fast for 30 days. So not food and drink from dawn until dusk. And it’s not just about staying away from food and drink, it’s also about staying away from the things that make you lose your focus with God. And staying away from doing other bad things. Like, swearing, listening to music etc. During Ramadan you are meant to focus on your spirituality and your connection with Islam. It can be quite challenging, but it’s meant to be. I for one tend to just sleep and binge watch cooking videos on YouTube the whole day, but hopefully I’ll do less of that this month. But for those of you who are fasting, I hope you have a really productive month!

Also, I’m thinking about giving up dairy, because it supposedly helps clear up your skin, and considering I’m now not eating during the day, it will probably be a lot easier for me to stay away from it. If any of you have given up dairy, let me know how it went down below- I’d love some advice and info on whether it actually helped your skin. My skin has improved a lot since my doctor gave some creams about a month ago, but recently I’ve been getting spotty again. It probably has to do with my stress levels, which have been extremely high, and my bad diet. My excuse for eating so badly was that I wanted to enjoy being able to eat anything I wanted before having to fast for a month.

One thing I am excited to do is to go shopping! I’ve mentioned this before, but my wardrobe does consist of basically just jumpers. So I am in desperate need of some summer clothes, and also it will be nice to go out and not worry about how much work I have to do when I get back. Anyway, I hope you have all had a great May. I know that in the UK May is exam month for the majority of students, so if you’ve finished exams I hope you are now enjoying summer.

Stay fresh,

Minty xo
